Linda Cardellini (ENG)Jimena is a Faller who fell into an Ultra Wormhole, some odd years ago. She is originally from the Hoenn region, and is in the process of recovering memories of her time before she became a Faller. She has since resided comfortably in Alola, but will soon find herself transferred to Paldea for work related matters, (and especially after a harrowing event that took place in Paldea's Great Crater). Seeing this new change, she aims to take advantage of the region's Gym Challenge, signing up for Battle Studies classes and tutelage under Paldea's newest Champion, one of her closest friends, Fabiana. She works as a salarywoman for an insurance company that specializes in coverage for users of Ride & TM Pokemon. An unabashed lover of fairytales. She specializes in Psychic and Fairy types.Aside from her current situation, Jimena is a very laid back and friendly person who loves to lounge around and figure out what her calling in life is. She has an alternative sense of style and DIY sensibility. She is determined to advocate more for herself, to reassure people that even if she might not ever be able to live her old life ever again, her new life will be just as good because she has a solid support system in both her Alolan circle, and her friends Fabiana and Raine from Paldea. The latter two she met through her best friend Anthony who had worked with Fabiana in the past.Jimena, is a very laissez faire person who has a reputation for being very relaxed and chill. She is very friendly and takes meeting new people in stride. She doesn't sweat the small stuff, and neither the big things that may need her urgent attention.Jimena sees herself as simultaneously lost, yet free, as her new life in Alola has opened many doors for her. Her biggest goal is to figure out what she wants, but she also takes it very slow.Jimena is the kind of person who doesn't like to be pitied. After realizing that there are others who had the same plight as her own, she took it upon herself to to try and work on starting over without wallowing too much on her own feelings. This has made her resilient, but in turn, a bit more prone to loneliness. She claims to live happily on her own with just her and her Pokemon in a high rise apartment overlooking the coast. Often times, being able to see and hear the ocean waves at night amplifies her loneliness.An open secret of hers is that she loves cute things and fairytales. If she could, she would have themed her apartment to a lush forest surrounded by Fairy and Psychic Pokemon.

Jimena's Party Pokemon

Miel(♀ Furret): Miel was Jimena's first Pokemon. It is evident that they grew up together. Miel acts as both Jimena's baby, and at times, her doting mother figure, as Jimena has always been rough and tumble. When Jimena was recovering from her ordeal of having became a Faller, Miel refused to be withdrawn into her Pokeball ever since, and is adamantly watching over her. More often than not, she is coiled around Jimena. Being able to let Jimena hold and smell her fur has been instrumental in helping her retain some of her memories.Miguelito (♂ Feraligatr): Miguelito was Jimena's starter Pokemon. She does not remember the day or the reason why she recieved him as a Totodile, yet she remembers growing up with him all the same. Unlike his "sister" Miel, who dotes excessively on Jimena, he resembles his trainer more in her fun-loving, laid back personality. He likes to get up in people's faces as a friendly gesture and never means any harm, he is just unaware of his size and strength.Polvorón (♂ Golisopod): Polvorón was the first Pokémon Jimena caught in Alola, as a Wimpod. Nanu helped Jimena capture him. Despite his now large physical prescence, he tends to be eerily quiet, but is very tough and formidable. He can pack a punch. Jimena claims that he does not like imposing on others, and prefers to keep to himself, explaining his quiet behavior.Bombón (♀ Oricorio): Bombón was a Pokémon that Jimena caught in Alola. Contrary to her appearance compared to her Trainer, Jimena really enjoys her presence and her ability to be unassuming in battle- she has spunk and can punch a wallop. In battle she transforms into Pa'u form to adhere to Jimena's Psychic and Fairy type specialty but she usually prefers to stay in Pom-pom form outside of battle.Carlota (♀ Florges): Carlota is a gentle presence that Jimena depends on. Jimena caught her as a Floette around the outskirts of Alfornada and was encouraged by Tulip to raise her to Terastalize Psychic type just like her own.Buñuelo (♂ Ponyta): Buñuelo comes off as a bit pompous and vain, but in truth, he just cares alot about making sure he doesn't get dirty. Jimena caught him on a business trip to Galar, as a Ponyta. She feels like he resembles the pegasi that appeared in her dreams when she was younger; one of the few things she remembers about her childhood. Next to Miguelito, he serves the role as her type specialty ace.Flan (♀ Hatterene): Flan was captured as a Hattrem in Paldea when Jimena, while on work holiday, was invited to join Fabiana and Raine while they spectated one of Fifi's Gym Challenges. A cousin of hers (an academy student that also happens to share her name) had raised one from a Hattena and suggested that she raise and train hers for battle, beginning Jimena's interest in dual type specialty. Flan seemed to be a subtle presence in Jimena's life at first, not really contributing to much, other than stern looks and side eyes at people who approached her Trainer. Later on, Jimena began to notice just how instrumental Flan was in helping her uncover more of her memories post-Faller incident, so she often allows for Flan to aid in her recovery. A master at giving people headaches.

Prior to falling and landing in Alola, Jimena was raised in the Hoenn Region's Lilycove City as the daughter of a college professor and a doctor. The second daughter of four to immigrants who tried their hardest to persuade all but one of their children to follow in either path as them; Jimena was not very eager to live the life someone else had planned for her. She was a mischevious, rebellious private school student who let her then, Totodile nip people she didn't like with his teeth. Despite getting along with her like-minded peers, on top of having her Pokemon and her large family; both immediate and extended, she often felt very lonely.In high school, Jimena began to act out. She hung out with a rougher crowd who felt just as restrained from their community as she did, and in the end she came out of the experience broken hearted and scorned. These friends weren't real friends and her family was growing on her case for spending her time with delinquents and bailing her out of trouble.Jimena attempted to turn her life around. She went to a small local college for accounting- which, while it made her feel like she was on the right path, her family did not see her small college pathway as palatable; preferring that she would have went to a more prestigious university to pursue a career path much like theirs and her siblings. It was some time after she had graduated that she fell into the wormhole and was discovered on the Alolan shore.When Jimena was discovered by the IP, she had come to discover that she had very fragmented memories; some more tangible and easier to recall than others, the rest a complete blur. The ordeal was very, very stressful for her, and through it all, she found solace in the form of Anabel, an agent who shared in her plight of memory loss. Enchanted by how someone could go through something so harrowing, and still manage to create a new life for themself, Jimena took the resolve to re-make her life with the memories she still had left. She was able to use her connections through the agents of the IP to reconnect with her family who now resided in Johto's Cianwood City and land a job with an insurance company. The job is mundane, and her apartment is lonely and small, but she lives near the beach, has her childhood Pokemon by her side, and even managed to make new friends.She meets Fabiana and Raine through her best friend Anthony; a former film major that studied in Unova who now currently works as a photographer and Contest Coordinator in the present day. They met each other at Sushi High Roller. She is also on good terms with Nanu, who helped her recover from her ordeal when she was first discovered. She is trained by them both, as well as Molayne, who she befriends when she starts taking regular visits to the observatory at Mount Hokulani. Anabel is the one who intrigues her the most, and they will certainly cross paths when Ultra Beasts become a regular facet of their lives.Fabiana and Raine become a regular part of her life once they run into Anthony at a Contest and are encouraged to befriend her. At first she sees his gesture as an act of pity, which she bemoans, but she agrees to show the women around Alola anyways, as she quickly grows fond of them. Their friendship in turn, has allowed for Jimena to find more to look forward to as she re-news her life. She even goes out of the way to make arrangements for days off to support Fifi and Raine in their respective endeavors. Through this, she ponders the idea of taking on one of the Pokemon Leagues for herself. She also realizes that she loves to travel.After a harrowing event involving her arm becoming terastalized in Area Zero, she will soon find herself transferred to Paldea for both work related matters, and observation under the Paldea League. Chairwoman Geeta has become interested in Jimena, not only for her burgeoning desire to battle and become stronger, but her connections to the IP and Ultra Wormholes. Instead of punishing Jimena and Fabiana for breaking into Paldea's Great Crater, Geeta opens the opportunity for them to showcase their skills; Jimena as a future Champion-ranked trainer, and Fabiana as a Champion-ranked battle tutor. Seeing this new change, Jimena aims to take advantage of the region's Gym Challenge, signing up for Battle Studies classes and tutelage under a newly confident Fabiana.

For more in depth relationship info see her relationship tab here on toyhouse.Anabel: Anabel was the agent assigned to Jimena's case, after having rescued her from her emergence on the Alolan coast as a Faller; the victim of an Ultra Wormhole, much like Anabel herself. They both see very eye to eye on their shared struggle on living with memory loss, however, this is where much of their similarities end. Jimena's laissez faire and fun-loving energy often gets in the way of serious and stern Anabel's habitual tendency to devote most of her waking hours to her job. As thus, she tends to brush off the free spirited woman's advances fairly often. In truth, Jimena admires her greatly and has a desire to be doted upon by her. Aside from this, Jimena just earnestly wishes to see her smile more often, and will always invite her over for a drink after work, even though the answer is usually no.Molayne: One of the Alolan Elite Four who met Jimena when she expressed great interest in astronomy. He helped guide her to the Mt. Hokulani observatory, which she now finds time to visit a few times a month; her frequent visits there led to them striking up a friendship. She asks him to train her to be battle proficient, to which he obliges.Acerola: Jimena's little "sis", of whom she is affectionately called "auntie Nena" by her. Acerola, being one of the Trial Capitans, and Alola Elite Four gives Jimena some pointers, especially when she expresses interest in getting better at battling. They share malasadas together and met through their connection to Nanu.Nanu: Nanu and Jimena share aesthetic sensibilities, however, her presence tends to be a thorn in his side when he isn't in the mood to join in her antics. He tends to call her harsh names that she slyly brushes off. They seem to have a begrudgingly amicable friendship otherwise, and he would be lying if he said he didn't worry about her whereabouts from time to time. When Jimena was discovered on the Alolan coast as a Faller, he was among the few who took care of her case, and even advocated for her to find a home and a job in Alola once her identity fell into place, and her family was re-assured of her whereabouts. Her weekend drinking buddy, who often gives her anecdotes of his time with Looker.Looker: Jimena admittedly knows very little about Looker, as it seems he is always on the move, along with Anabel. What she does know is that she appreciates him helping her settle in her new life in Alola and helping her re-connect with Anthony, her parents, and the rest of her family, despite the fact that she does not remember much about them.Dendra: Dendra and Jimena have similar personalities, so they got along well almost right away. Both women meet through their connection to Raine and they tend to be both Raine and Fifi's biggest cheerleaders when they witness a contest or a battle.Rika: When it comes to Rika's playflirting with the cadence melody trio, Jimena is exceptionally receptive to it, even though she truly only has room in her heart for Anabel. In addition to becoming good enough to take on the Alolan Pokemon League, Jimena really entertains the idea of taking on Rika herself one day, and the latter looks really forward to it, hoping that Fifi can take the hint and coach Jimena, just as Raine had done for her.
